So out of nowhere I’ve developed a major want for a JZX100 chaser as a daily, I tend to favour small fast cars but the swap to an MR2 for winter from my VX220 has been a sharp drop in 0-60 and surprisingly haven’t missed it as much as I was expecting so starting to turn into an old man and thinking about comfort in a daily car which lead to these. Flavien maybe getting my custom in the near future...

That second one is awesome.

There are a lot of tastefully modded ones out there (and some not so)

Yeah, I dig these a lot, although here in the US we’re just soon to be eligible to import the JZX90.

Japanese Classics had one last month. It was sold almost immediately.

I really want a Tourer V Exciting Package.

I have no idea what that includes but it sounds... exciting :D

The Tourer V is the one you want, the 1JZ-GTE and most likely to have a manual. I’m not sure what the Exciting Package has over a standard Tourer V, but it’s such a ridiculous name that I want one.

I just looked at their inventory. Too bad it was an automatic .
Also, I was greeted by this when I pulled up their site:

I like Chaser’s but I do dislike the trend of giving them low hanging “skirts”. And this seems to very common thing with Chasers and even some of the sportier factory models had a bit too low hanging body kit for my tastes (I think that the first and the fourth pictures’ cars are both wearing stock Tourer V body kit).
I’m fine with low hanging things in the front but the sill extensions and especially any skirt behind the rear wheels are usually too much for me. A proper diffuser is of course a different thing but I couldn’t find a any picture of a decent one under a Chaser.
This one’s a lot better.
And this one is a race car that seems to doing fine and looking good without any silly skirts.

I’m not a fan of that white one but the brown one is nice (apart from the stretched tyres)

That’s a nice clean example

Yeah, they’re unfortunately far more commonly found with automatics. However, I recently found out that the Jeep AX-15 transmission is essentially the same as the manual that came in these, so it’s not *too* hard to find a 5-speed gearbox that will fit a 1JZ. I have a friend who’s thinking about importing a lower-trim one of these and building it into a drift car. He’s given me the RWD golden age Toyota bug and I’m now looking at Cressidas and MK3 Supras.

If you want more cars just use goo-net.com and let chrome translate the pages. Not certain everyone there would work with exporting, but maybe that’s where Flavien could join the fun.
